ActivityWelcome to Abingdon Fencing, a friendly and inclusive club which has been promoting the sport of fencing in Abingdon and South Oxfordshire for over 30 years. Whether you are completely new to the sport or an experienced competition fencer you will find a warm welcome from our members of all ages and ability. The club has an excellent venue in the new Sports Complex of the School of St Helen and St Katharine in Faringdon Road, Abingdon OX14 1BE with ample parking available. Changing facilities and showers are available at the venue. We meet every Thursday evening from 8 to 10 pm with our structured junior class for children aged 8 - 16 running from 7 to 8 pm. New fencers undertake a 6 week course which will equip them with the skills to progress further if required whilst additional courses are offered to allow members to progress at their chosen weapon. Finally we pride ourselves on being friendly and family orientated and, whilst we have successful record in competitions at all levels, the most important thing is to enjoy ourselves.
