ActivityThe group is a self-advocacy group for adults with learning disabilities, it allows group members to discuss issues that are important to them and encourages them to speak up for themselves in their lives to ensure they have choice and control over their lives. The group sometimes invites outside speakers to come and talk to them about particular issues and at Christmas organises a meal out at a local pub. The group gives people with learning disabilities a safe and welcoming place to meet others and can help reduce isolation for people living on their own. We also promote the wider work of My Life My Choice and encourage members to get involved in other projects etc. When and where we meetThird Wednesday of the month - 35 Ock Street, Abingdon 7-9 p.m. (No meeting in August) Who we helpAdults with Learning Disabilities SafeguardingStaff facilitating the group have an enhanced DBS checks
